Christmas is a few days away and I wanted to share how to make healthy Christmas gifts this year. SKIP buying chocolates and fattening treats for your family and friends (they have enough). Give a gift that will support their health and fitness goals. Motivate them to keep exploring new foods and ways to stay healthy. Check out these 3 gifts that I’m going to give my family & clients.
My 3 heathy Christmas gifts I’m gifting this year : 1- Superfoods 2- Seasonings 3- Teas
1.Superfoods- Super foods provide the body not only with HUGE amounts of nutrition & healing properties, but they also protect the body from free radicals and carcinogens. As a result you to have more energy & improve your mood almost effortlessly.
*** Buy small glass jars and fill with your favorite superfood***
My Favorites Healthy Christmas Gifts Super Foods Are:
Lemon – detoxes and helps to alkalize the body (7.4 alkalizing is ideal).
Ginger – helps aid with digestion.
Garlic – nature’s antibiotic.
Cayenne – boosts metabolism.
Cinnamon– regulates blood sugar, prevents, and helps satisfy sugar cravings.
Turmeric – anti-inflammatory, and a natural metabolism booster.
Cacao– Cocoa beans are the natural state of chocolate before the sugar, therefore giving you all of the natural benefits without increasing your sugar intake (takes care of all of those cravings too).
Flax Seed– highly rich in Omegas.
Chia Seeds -Rich in fiber, omega-3 fats, protein, vitamins and minerals.
Raw pumpkin seeds – Great source of fiber.
2. Spices/Seasonings- Spice up your food and your life. Eating healthy DOES NOT mean no flavor. Buy spices that they might have never used of heard of especially the superfoods like: Turmeric ( anti- inflammatory) Red Pepper (boosts metabolism) Ginger (great for digestion) Cinnamon (balances blood sugar levels and helps stop sugar cravings.
*** Pick your favorite superfood spices***
3. Tea- Choosing a variety of natural teas is a great way to replace old beverage habits like sodas and energy drinks. My favorite teas are:
Green tea- full of antioxidants & helps with digestion after a meal.
