Healthy Alternatives When Dieting for a Show

Hey Everyone, I’m so grateful for all the support from people I inspire. The most important advice I can give you today is, if you’re inspired and ready to life as healthier lifestyle, start NOW. I can’t tell you how many times people tell me a “story/ excuss” about their plan to work out and start eating more healthfully… at a future date. Make it a priority and just start NOW. The hardest part is getting started. Once you start and are consistent, it will be a routine, just like brushing you teeth in the morning. You’ll wake up every day excited to give yourself the gift to work out and feel healthy. I promise.

When I’m dieting for a show, tilapia, chicken and veggies can drive me crazy. I get creative and find ways to make healthier versions of some of my favorite treats. For example, instead of drinking a blended Venti Mocha drink from Starbucks (it can have 360 calories), I brew my own coffee, add ice, 1 scoopISS Chocolate Complete Whey Power protein and a dash of stevia. So yummy!! (only 110 calories).

Another favorite recipe is protein pancakes. I used 1 scoop ISS Chocolate Complete Whey Power protein and 1/2 scoop OhYeah! Chocolate Milkshake Total Protein System. Mix in 2 egg whites and 1/3 cup water and 1/3 cup cooked oats. Cook in pan (sprayed with olive oil) for about 1 minute on each side. I have fun trying all the different pancake combinations with the different flavors of ISS and OhYeah! protein powders. Let me know if you come up with a new favorite.

I can’t believe I’m 3 weeks out from Jon Linsay’s NPC USA show July 29-30th in Las Vegas. I’ve been on track with my diet and workout schedule. This show is so important to me. I’m training so hard to get my IFBB pro card.
