It’s in giving that you receive.. I just received a thank you card from the girls who attended the Sand Sisters Event in Santa Monica, CA this summer where I volunteered teaching yoga & fitness on the beach. It made my day. I strive to be a positive role model for teens, teaching them self respect and to stay true to their hearts. I strive to promote healthy environments & groups for girls to be a part of everywhere. After returning from my third trip to the beautiful Isles of Ireland and Scotland, I have a lot to share with you about what i’ve learned. First, I want to start with the Celtic Triple Spiral, why I love it & why you’ll see it repeatedly in my writings and fitness programs.
I personally believe that the Triple Spiral remains relevant to the rapid changes and cycles in modern society. I love life so much that I can go 1,000 miles an hour and get off balanced. Sound familiar? When my life lacks balance, it usually leads to a physical burnout. That’s why I created The MT3 Fitness & Nutrition system. After years of working with clients i realized I ‘m not the only one who burns out, gains weight and feel out of balance. Has this happened to you? If so, my best advise is to avoid the self sabotage thoughts, stress & panic and get right back onto the rejuvenation plan & slow down.
Life is always changing. Just like the seasons every year, your body’s want and needs are also changing. People who are not able to adjust sufficiently to the changing seasons or life get sick. While other people learn to adapt, some people are not able to and the seasons & life take its toll on their bodies and wellbeing.
The best way to adapt is to give the body the best care it needs at the current moment. This requires that you learn to listen and act on the body’s current needs.
There is much to take in and enjoy throughout the seaside city of Orange County. I enjoy working out and taking in natures beauty at the same time. You can walk, hike bike, run or try a new and exciting workouts that offer a variety of body and core exercises that shape and tone.
Here are some of my favorite: Crystal Cove Hike is a must. You can decide if your in the mood for a walk along the beach and exploring the tide pools or a scenic bike ride along the Bluffs overlooking the ocean. (you can rent a bike from most hotels). After your workout you can have a bite to eat at Ruby’s shake shack overlooking the ocean.
For a more of a challenge try one of many hike in El Moro Canyon. Bring water be prepared to break a sweat.
Celebrate the 4th of July with purpose. The real celebration is Supporting Our Servicemen & Women. This is the time to say thanks to the men and women who have selflessly devoted themselves to the defense of democracy and freedom not only in America but around the world! Take time to thank our soldiers and veterans.
Speaking of events, as you’re getting to know all the sides of me, you know that I LOVE to raise money by competing in many events. The events that I participate in are intended for raising awareness, motivation inspiration and share ways you can help your community.
